Went to Expo, dressed as Ion Fortuna, a few pictures should be up now. No point me going into a detailed rant about how great Expo was, everyone knows from everyone else's journals, but I just want to say again guys that I had a really good time so thanks for it all! ^^ Btw, if anyone is going to the Grand Cosplay Ball I look forwad to seeing you all there, I'll be cosplaying as Captain Amelia from Treasure Planet (Woo! Thigh-high boots ftw!) so of course be sure to pop over and say hi!
Been busy at uni, handing in essays, trying to sort out our final production and so on and so forth. I really should be hard at work on portfolios and shizz, but I've been too busy trying to balance all my work at the moment to bother starting it. I will get round to it eventually. 4,000 words and a pilot for our film, plus god-knows how many other essays and stuff we've gotta do T_T Its all rather depressing really. Also my mother made me send my MA application to my university of choice on Monday, so I'm a little nervous about whether it is good enough and if they'll call me for an interview or not! Fingers crossed.
In the life of my playstation I have been hard at work (ha!) spending my momentary free moments (more ha!) playing Eternal Sonata. Its a beautiful game and I'm absolutely in love with it - *especially loved the moment where Chopain facepalmed, there's something incredibly amusing about that*. I think my favourite character has to be Allegretto - whom I may cosplay one day in the future, though I think I am going to be in an Eternal Sonata cosplay group next year in May as Polka instead (she's adorably cute so I'm more than happy to cosplay her!) Haven't finished playing Dissidia yet - I will, but I normally end up playing my PSP when I'm sitting around and waiting for something, right now I have no time to sit around and wait for anything, so gaming in that sense has been on hold for a little while
As for work at the Co-op. I hate it. I want to quit. They need to hire more people before everyone else quits because they're doing more work than their contracted hours requests. I end up feeling exhausted all the time because stupid work is calling me in for extra shifts because there aren't enough people to cover them. Its so frustrating, especially when I had a day free planned to do uni work and stuff in. UGH! Also they seem to have the opinion that working for them is WAY more important than other things like... ooh I dunno... getting my degree?! Seriously, I asked the manager if I could swap a day because I will need to do shooting on such days because I do a film degree, and will therefore need to spend entire days filming (not half a day and then run off to work because that is just impractical, especially if shooting on location). His reply? "Well I'm afraid you'll have to sort that out yourself. I can't do that for you, its your problem" Well I'm sorry if its 'my problem' that I'm trying to get a first in my degree to get a good job! Does he really think that I class the job at the Co-op more highly than my degree?! Ugh! Idiot! >>
(Btw. If anyone wants to blow up a Co-op in a terrorist plot? Please come to mine. I'd be very grateful. >>
My laptop Lawerence has returned! (Huzzah!) He works, but unfortunately it seems when they 'fixed' him, they broke his wireless internet capabilities and the speakers. So I can no longer go online without a special little internet-card-thingie or watch videos on youtube or wherever, as it no longer works. >> Funny thing is, their excuse was: "Your computer never had wireless internet" At which point I had a rather angry yelling conversation down the phone, but to no avail. So yes, won't be taking any laptops to that place to fix it again.
Also am writing Nano at the moment. Don't know if I will get to 50,000 words at the end of the month, but it does inspire me to write more. Am on just under 18,500 words at the moment and am hoping to try and keep on top of it all. The title is: Egbert Rogers and the Confounding Mysteries of the Universe. Its a novel about the character Egbert Rogers who falls through the time flow and in doing so, meets a series of people who refer to themselves as 'unmortals' who are both attempting to help and hinder his way back into the flow of time. Its supposed to be somewhat amusing as well as vaguely fantasy-ish. We shall see what people think. I may end up putting some chapters up here, I may not. Depends if I get it finished or not!
Phew... that's my vent for now methinks... Hope everyone else is doing okay!
All the best!
